ZGRAF 11 - international exhibition of graphic design and visual communications

Az 1975 óta megrendezésre kerülő ZGRAF Horvátország legnagyobb szabású grafikával, designnal és vizuális kommunikációval foglalkozó kiállítása, amely következő alkalommal 2012 március 15. és április 5 között kerül megrendezésre Zágrábban.

A kiállítás a grafikai tervezés témáját körüljáró válogatott munkák mellett egy specifikusabb résszel is készül, JÖVŐ címen. A Zgraf célja párbeszédet folytatni a design, a szociális és a politikai modernizáció kapcsolatáról a posztindusztriális korszakban, megerősítve azt az elképzelést, hogy a design jobban kapcsolódik a szociális fejlődéshez, mint egy puszta gazdasági növekedéshez.

Egy alkotótól vagy csapattól max. 5 művet várnak, a kiválasztott alkotások kiállításra kerülnek a Zgraf-on és annak katalógusában megjelennek, valamint számos díj is kiosztásra kerül.

A pályázat határideje: 2012. január 31.


The Croatian Association of Artists of Applied Arts announces a call for submissions for the international exhibition of graphic design and visual communications ZGRAF 11 – held in Zagreb from March 15 to April 5, 2012.

Since 1975 ZGRAF is the biggest and most important exhibition of graphic design in Croatia. Over the years, it has gathered designers, theorists and critics from all over the world, with the intention to bring out the fundamental problems and position of design in contemporary society. In 1978 it became an international manifestation sponsored by ICOGRADA.

The exhibition is made up of two main parts:

• Review – the regular international exhibition of selected works in the field of graphic design and visual communications

• Theme – international selected exhibition presenting works designed to a specific exhibition theme – This used to be the FUTURE. Zgraf 11 aims to discuss again the relationship between design and social and political modernization in the post-industrial era. It wants to affirm the idea of design that is closer to social development than to mere economic growth.

All authors or groups of authors may submit at most five works.

Open to anyone worldwide.


Prize

Selected works will be exhibited at the exhibition and featured in the exhibition catalogue. Moreover, the works selected will automatically compete for the traditional ZGRAF Awards:

• ZGRAF GRAND PRIX
• ZGRAF 1
• ZGRAF 2
• ZGRAF WELCOME (for designer/design team under 26 years of age),
• Icograda Excellence Award
• AICA Award
• 10 honourable mentions
